MTV Europe Music Awards: see the winners list and who performed

This year MTV Europe Music Awards event that took place Sunday night, November 6th in Rotterdam, Netherlands awarded the most loved artists, but it also revealed some great performance on the stage of Ahoy arena in Rotterdam. Hosted by artist Bebe Rexha, this event awarded Justin Bieber in two categories, as well as Lady Gaga, which both were absent. While Shawn Mendes was given Best Male and Best Canadian Act and on top of that, performed twice along the evening. At the same time, The Weeknd won in major category Best Video for his collab with Daft Punk “Starboy”.

A lot of performances were packed into two-plus hours for the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards with the pair of global icon honorees Green Day and host Bebe Rexha even hitting the stage twice. Bruno Mars opened the evening with a performance of his latest jam 24K Magic , and was succeeded by DNCE, Martin Garrix, Shawn Mendes, Zara Larsson, Green Day, The Weeknd, Kings Of Leon, OneRepublic and others.

“Prince, we will always miss you,” presenter Bebe Rexha said early in the show as purple spotlights crisscrossed the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam.
